September sung
The purple sky touches me
My soul mirrors that rich colour
Mixed with flaming orange
Another summer dies
As summer has before
The yearning remains the same
Though tempered by age and budding wisdom
I do not bind myself by contract
To love or live unhappily
To succeed or never again dream
What I have cultivated
Is the achievment of self
For I am now
What I always wante to be
Old dreams are fulfilled
While new ones are pursued
My youthful ambitions harvested
While the seeds of years to come
Are sowed with the hope
That all that is invested in seedling dreams
May one day bear fruit
My soul mirrors that rich colour
Mixed with flaming orange
Another summer dies
As summer has before
The yearning remains the same
Though tempered by age and budding wisdom
I do not bind myself by contract
To love or live unhappily
To succeed or never again dream
What I have cultivated
Is the achievment of self
For I am now
What I always wante to be
Old dreams are fulfilled
While new ones are pursued
My youthful ambitions harvested
While the seeds of years to come
Are sowed with the hope
That all that is invested in seedling dreams
May one day bear fruit
